Langsview Track is located betwwen Mangawai Heads to the south and Waipu Cove to the north in New Zealand's Northland region, and can be accessed from Cove Road just pass Langs Beach a popular swimming beach on the East Coast of Northland or from Cullen Road at Waipu.
The track is around 14 kilometers long and runs from Cove Road south of Langs Beach to Waipu Cove to the North, the walk way is predomitly a graveled surface following a paper road to the summit at a height of around 297 meters, parts of this walk are along the old Brynderwyn Track which is now disused.
This walk requires a bit of fitness as there are steep accents and decents along the way, at the summit there are fantastic views from Mangawai Heads through to the Hen And Chicken Islands and north along the East coast beaches of Langs Beach and Waipu Cove.
The Langsview Track can also be accessed from the loop walk on the Tanekaha walking tracks which starts from the small coastal town of Mangawai Heads and winds up the mountain side for around one hour to the summit and lookout.
The full walk from Cove Road To Cullen Road will take around 4 hours one way so a pick up from either end will be required if you do not want to return back along the paper road the views at the summit are fantastic and make the effort worth it in the end.
From the carpark on Cove Road the start of the walk is through native bush for around 10 minutes before turning onto a short paved surface then onto the the paper road a short time later from here there is a steep accent to the summit which takes around 1 hour take plenty of water and food as this walk is rated as moderate with steep sections added in.
